Dr. Lusher helps us revisit this important conversation as a community of learners. This video was recorded from the session presented to the community in cooperation with the Grandview Public Library on October 22nd.
During the 2015/16 school year, three Grandview classrooms were designed as prototype 21st century learning spaces. This video tells the story of these learning spaces, so far. Stay tuned for updates as the school year progresses.Uploaded Jan 05, 2016
The staff of Grandview Heights Schools is committed to maximizing and personalizing every student's learning. In an effort to ensure that we are, in fact, meeting the individual and unique needs of every student, our district continuous improvement plan for the 2016-17 school year is focused on the development and implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). MTSS is a framework that provides a systematic and research-based process to support the academic, social, emotional, and mental needs of every child. The philosophy of MTSS is anchored by two essential questions:
1. How do we respond when a child needs support? (i.e. What do we do when they still do not have the skill or knowledge?)
2. How do we respond when a child needs enrichment? (i.e. What do we do when they already know it?)
This video will examine the scope of the MTSS work within the Grandview Schools and build background knowledge regarding our MTSS practices in action!
