On February 22, 2017, the Facility Planning Process Community Engagement #4 meeting brought together more than 70 parents, staff members, and residents to review the Educational Visioning concepts, identify hopes and concerns, and learn more about the next steps in the facility planning process including the phase option framework. This video captures the meeting and presentations.

good evening everyone and Welcome to our for facility community community engagement meeting on behalf of our Board of Education as well as bring you like schools I'd like to welcome you tonight and thank you for being here I know how busy you can everyone of you are so from the bottom of my heart thank you for being here enjoying the conversation play me the you don't know my name is Andy called and I have the good fortune and privilege of serving as your superintendent I'm in my third year as suck I like to just take a quick moment and have the board members who are present stand up and goes as they do I also want to thank them for their leadership Weather Service above self so Melissa I see Debbie Brannon Jesse true it is in the corner so thank you play Karen  I also want to take a moment if you serve all need facility how far is if you how do you say I know the final ask is if you participated in the educational visioning sessions that we conducted so it was too sad I just like to get a sense of who's present in the room and who Among Us attended the to educational visioning session so if you were part of those please stand up I just want to get a sense  great great great and thank you for your attention and those sessions as well as for being here did that  I want also let you all know that we will be recording this evening to meeting and in the back of the recorder is on that will be uploaded and link to our facility planning webpage as well as all of the handouts as well as tonight's PowerPoint so that can be accessed through facility planning page if you go to our main four main web page there is a hot button in the top-right in Porter corner of believe it's blue and says facility planning you can click on that and it has all of the links in all of the power points and video tapes of our previous for you to review at your own leisure  as I said many times this is a process and this is the next back in this important facility planning process that were doing our process in Grandview has three phases the first phase star facility planning a set that assessment that was independently done demonstrated that we had 42 million dollars of deferred maintenance wind and that assessment was based on the assessment of every single building that exist in Grandview Heights II portion of our process was educational vision and that maybe if you participated in it I think it important to mention that educational visioning find up a is an aspirational it made sure there were three core objectives with respect to our educational visioning process the first send it was DeVille understanding on how key and what best practices look like the second quarter captive was how are K12 school buildings being built what do they look like how are K12 school buildings being remodeled and what headed the third Corps jacket of the educational visioning sessions were how to best practices and how K-12 school buildings are being a model support one another the third and final phase of our process which will be the free remaining community in each and everyone spend tirely to the famous option which is the final phase of our facility planning that will be where we are bringing options for the communities considerations with cost garnering back and each and every one of the the remaining Community engagement meeting taking those back representing narrowing the options and each iterative step until 5 will have a single option  the agenda for today's meeting are the participants were you vocational visiting Concepts as well as identify hopes and concerns dr.
