Every year we have an informational meeting about the College Credit Plus program. This program is technically open to students in grades 7-12. Simply, the College Credit Plus program is an opportunity for students to take college courses and receive both high school and college credit for those courses.
There are a lot of pros and cons to this program, so if you or your student is interested plan to attend. As part of the program, there is a required counseling component, and attending this meeting (both parent and student) fulfills that requirement. We will be distributing the required paperwork to apply and participate in the program at the meeting.
We will also hear from some of our college partners. This meeting is full of great information and could help you decide if the program would be a good fit. If you have further questions about the appropriateness of this program for your individual student, please contact your student’s school counselor.
