Illuminating Stories

Congratulations to Cameron Berkemer, Avery Lusher, Millie Chrstos, Lilly Rickert, and Sophia Patterson. These young writers are recognized for their winning entries in the Fifth Annual Grandview Heights Schools Halloween Writing Contest.

Students in grades K-12 were invited to finish a story in which they had been given a prompt.  Story lengths range between one and five pages.  There will be one winning story selected from the following grade level categories: Grades K-3, 4-5, 6-8, and high school.

"We want to thank everyone who submitted a story ending for the Halloween Writing Contest. More than eighty students participated, and picking the winning entries was very hard. The team of readers spent many hours reading all of the outstanding stories and are pleased to announce this year’s winners," said teacher Joan Grundey.

The winning entries are attached (if you have the courage to read them!).
