The youth orchestra typically performs 3-4 times per year.
On Saturday, November 11, 8th grader Mira Bondy (clarinet) and 7th graders Rose Ritzman (alto sax) and Sydney Heren (tenor sax) performed in the Ohio Music Education Association District 15 Middle School Honor Bands. They joined 200 musicians from around central Ohio and had the opportunity to work with world renowned composer and conductor Brian Balmages.
On Saturday evening, freshman Max McCollough (horn) performed in the Capital University Honor Band Festival. McCollough auditioned and placed into the top band of three. This is a huge achievement, especially for a freshman competing against students in grades 9-12!
On Sunday, November 12, freshman McCollough (horn) performed with the Capital University Junior Winds.
