Blended learning is an instructional approach that blends online learning and traditional face-to-face instructional time with the teacher.  By using Grandview Height's learning management system, Itslearning, teachers are designing digital resources that fit the many specific needs of their students.

Not only does blended learning allow teachers to custom build resources for students, it also allows students to work at their own pace and have 24-hour access to the the learning resources that they need. 

In the picture you see students working through a 'playlist'.  A playlist is a set of online resources arranged to move students through various components of a lesson.  In this specific example students gain practice with digital vocabulary flashcards.  To further supplement instruction and enhance learning the teacher has created videos explaining the meanings of words.  The playlist ends with a short assessment in which students take a quiz that gives them and their teacher automatic feedback.  The teacher then uses this formative assessment to plan next steps for their students.
