For the past month, students in Mrs. Grave's and Mrs. Schoemer's fourth grade classes worked diligently to write and produce two successful plays dealing with the theme, "citizenship."
Schoemer's homeroom's wrote about a town of Weaselton, which was a quiet town until errant weasels had a better idea. The townspeople needed to pull together and use their rights and responsibilities as citizens to save the day.
Graves' class play was set in the year 10,000 in the town of Technhockamalocky. The first aliens to live on Earth had arrived. The aliens were challenged with learning what it means to be a citizen of Earth.
Students and adults in the audience enjoyed the creative scripts and emerging talents of these clever students.
