Tri-Village Rotary Club Recognition

On Wednesday, January 28, the Tri-Village Rotary Club awarded Dan Ogg, a Maintainer in the District Facilities and Services Department, its Staff Member of the Year Award for his outstanding service to the Grandview Heights City Schools.

About this award:  In 1905, Paul Harris organized a community service organization that has grown to be today’s modern Rotary International.  In building Rotary, Mr. Harris focused on the vocational calling of members and how those members could effectively serve others with dignity and integrity.  Rotarians are committed to encouraging and fostering high ethical standards in all vocations.  The Tri-Village Rotary Club is annually honoring two individuals, one from Grandview Heights City Schools and one from Upper Arlington City Schools, who have represented dignity and integrity through their positions in their schools.

The Rotary recognition is fitting for Mr. Ogg.  The Rotary Club’s motto is Service Above Self.  Mr. Ogg selflessly and cheerfully serves the students and staff of the district each day.  As well, he travels each year to Guatamala or the Dominican Republic on medical mission trips.
