Congratulations to the following Power of the Pen writers who competed at the Regional Competition of Power of the Pen at Gahanna Middle School South on Saturday, March 14. Writing against 36 Franklin County middle schools, Edison Intermediate/Larry Larson Middle School seventh grader Liz McDermott placed 9th as did eighth grader Sophie Beacom.  The State Competition will be May 21 and 22 at The College of Wooster.  Qualifiers have yet to be announced.
