Grandview Heights High School Seniors Jordan Beight and Bailey Smith have signed with Cornell University and Wilmington College, respectively, to continue their athletic careers at the college level.

 

Jordan Beight will attend Cornell University as a student athlete on the Track & Field Team and will compete in decathlete events.  He is a  3-year Varsity Track & Field letter winner and was 1st Team MSL his junior year.  In the Division III State Track Meet in 2016, he place 2nd in the 300 M Hurdles, 2nd in the Long Jump, 6th in the 100M Dash, and 9th in the 110M Hurdles.  He holds five school records for Track & Field. Beight has been named MVP of the Track & Field Team two years running.

Bailey Smith will attend Wilmington College as a student athlete on the Softball Team.  She is a 3-year Varsity Softball letter winner.  She was Honorable Mention in the MSL her freshman year, 2nd Team MSL and 2nd Team All League her sophomore year, and 1st Team MSL and 2nd Team All District her junior Year.  Smith plays second base.
