The Grandview Heights / Marble Cliff Education Foundation formally announces its plan to begin a new scholarship program in 2018. This program will provide $25,000 in scholarship money split among up to four high school seniors. The first awards will be given in April 2018.

Foundation President, Jeff Greer notes, “In the early days of the Foundation, we awarded both grants and scholarships. Overtime, the focus changed where the Foundation was using its available money for grants that would impact a larger group of students than just a handful benefiting from scholarships. The Foundation has reached a point where we can operate like a true endowment because of the great support we’ve received from the community over the years.”

Scholarship applications can be found in the high school guidance office or by contacting Jane O’Shaughnessy at [email protected]. Scholarship applicants will be evaluated based on academic merit, leadership, financial need and community service. Applications must be submitted by February 28, 2018 and will be reviewed and decided on by a subcommittee of the foundation board. Award recipients will be announced by April 15, 2018.
