GHHS Names New Principal

Grandview Heights Schools is pleased to announce that Robert Michael Brown has been selected to serve as the next principal of Grandview Heights High School.  Mr. Brown was approved by the Board of Education at its regular meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.  His official start date is August 1, 2018.

Mr. Brown brings a wealth of experiences to Grandview Heights High School.  He is presently the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at McCord Middle School in Worthington.  He has also served as Dean of Students at Worthington Kilbourne High School and as the Assistant Director of the McVey Innovative Learning Center in Hilliard City Schools.  Prior to his administrative posts, he was a Special Education teacher at Hilliard Darby and Hilliard Bradley High Schools. 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Education in Mental and Physical Disabilities from the University of Pittsburgh; Principal Licensure from The Ohio State University; and an Administrative Specialist License in Curriculum, Instruction, and  Pofessional Development from Ashland University.

“Mr. Brown is a student-centered educational leader who believes in our mission to maximize and personalize every student’s learning, and understands the importance of Grandview Heights High School principal’s role in actualizing our mission,” said Superintendent Andy Culp.

“He also believes deeply in the inseparable relationship that exists between the schools and our parents and community.  It is also clear he has a deep understanding and values the historical legacy and traditions of Grandview Heights Schools.”
