Grandview Heights High School Class of 2018 student athletes Avani Kumar and Calvin Furbee both received the Ohio High School Athletic Association Kyre/Young Scholar Athlete Awards this week at the OHSAA banquet.  More than 10,000 student-athlete seniors in the Central District were eligible for the award and only 26 were selected.  Of the 26 selected, two were from Grandview Heights High School.  The award is based on GPA and athletic achievement.  Kumar will study chemistry/premed at the University of Arizona. Furbee will study Environmental Studies at Emory University and compete for the men’s swim team. Congratulations, Avani and Calvin!
