Kevin Gusé, Member
 

Kevin Gusé has lived in Grandview Heights with his wife, Emily, and two daughters, Evie and Ellie, since 2014.  Kevin holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Zoology from Michigan State University, teacher licensure from California State University-Northridge, and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University.

Kevin has taught high school biology for the Olentangy Local School District since 2007 and currently serves as the Department Chairperson for Technology and a teacher representative for the Olentangy Teachers Association.

Within the Grandview Heights Schools community, Kevin values spending his time as a coach for the Parks and Recreation Department, serving in the leadership of K-tribes, and volunteering at the Ox Roast.  Kevin was first elected to the Board of Education in November 2019 and re-elected to the Board in November 2023.  He is currently serving his second term on the Board of Education and currently serves on the Board of Education Policy and Teaching & Learning committees.  Contact Kevin at [email protected]

Katie Matney, Member
 

Katie Matney has more than 20 years of non-profit experience and is currently the Director of Development for the Ohio Credit Union League.  She graduated from Ohio University and secured her MBA with a focus in non-profit administration from Franklin University.  Her career has been dedicated to strengthening communities and her passion lies in bringing people together around a common goal.  

Katie has interacted closely with the schools as a parent classroom volunteer, PTO volunteer, Board Member of the Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Education Foundation, Member of the Financial Planning Committee for the Facility Planning Process, Member of the 2016 Grandview School Levy Fundraising Committee and 2018 Grandview Heights Schools Levy co-chair. She has volunteered for other community efforts including as a softball coach, Ox Roast volunteer, and parent sport volunteer. 

She and her husband, Chris, have two children presently in the district and a graduate from the Class of 2019.  Their family has lived in Grandview Heights since 2013.  Katie was elected to her first term in November 2021.  Re-elected in November 2025, Katie is currently serving her second term on the Board and currently serves on the Board of Education Teaching & Learning committee.  Contact Katie at [email protected] 

 

Molly Wassmuth, Vice President

Molly Wassmuth graduated from The Ohio State University and began her teaching career in 2004 in the Columbus Public School district, teaching at Mifflin and Briggs High Schools. In 2008,  she moved to Westerville North High School where she teaches Spanish. 

While working as a teacher, Molly has served as World Languages Department Facilitator, Faculty Representative at Large, Lobby Day participant, Mid Atlantic Organizing Regional Conference participant, and National Educational Association representative and state delegate.

Molly earned a Master Teacher Certification from the Ohio Department of Education, a Teacher Leadership endorsement from The Ohio State University, and in the Spring of 2018 she will complete her administrative license in education at The Ohio State University.    

In recent years, Molly has traveled to Nicaragua and Honduras where she supported the Arms of Love orphanage. Through these programs Molly has worked with children of all ages while engaging in a variety of service projects.  Molly began serving her first term on the Board of Education in January 2018, having been elected in November 2017.  She was re-elected in November 2021 and began serving her second term on January 12, 2022, when she was selected to serve as Vice President.  Molly was re-elected again in November 2025 and is currently serving her third term.  Molly was once again selected Vice President at the January 14, 2026, Board of Education meeting.  She currently serves on the Board of Education Finance and Policy committees.  Contact Molly at [email protected]

Jon Ohlinger, Member

 

Jon Ohlinger is a National Strategy Manager at Bread Financial, a tech-forward financial services company offering a full suite of payment, lending and saving solutions. For more than 12 years, Jon has serviced credit card programs for many of the country’s most recognized brands. Jon also serves as Treasurer of the Black Leadership Associate Connection, a group committed to fostering an environment of inclusion and belonging, growth, community engagement, and success for all associates at Bread Financial, regardless of cultural background. Previously, Jon spent 22 years in retail where he drove operational excellence and ensured each location across the nation met performance, customer experience, and compliance standards. Jon led and developed store personnel, analyzed sales performance, and implemented strategic initiatives that supported growth and profitability. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ohio University.

 

Jon has been a district resident for over 20 years. He and his wife, Rachel, have two children, both Grandview Heights Schools graduates – Sarah (2018) and Henry (2026).  Jon has interacted closely with the schools, most recently as a 2024 Grandview Heights Schools Levy co-chair. He has volunteered for other community efforts including as a basketball, baseball, softball and football coach, Ox Roast volunteer, and President of the Grandview Heights Touchdown Club. Jon was elected to his first term on the Board of Education in November 2025 and currently serves on the Board of Education Facilities Core Team committee and as the liaison to the Grandview Heights Marbler Cliff Education Foundation and Start Talking Grandview. Emily Gephart, President
 
 

Emily Gephart earned her bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs from Miami University, and her master’s degree in Public Administration from Ohio State University. She has spent her professional career working in public budgeting and education policy at the New York City Office of Management and Budget, the Ohio Office of Budget and Management, and the Ohio Legislative Service Commission.  Most recently, Emily was employed at the Director of Budget and School Funding at the Ohio Department of Education.

Emily lives in Grandview Heights with her husband, Kyle, and their two daughters, Grace (Class of 2029) and Annie (Class of 2031).  She is a stay-at-home-mom, a public budgeting and policy consultant, and an active volunteer in the schools and community, including serving as a member of the city’s Traffic Advisory Group.  Elected in November 2019, to serve her first term on the Board of Education, Emily was re-elected in November 2023 to serve a second term.  In January 2022, she was selected  to serve as Vice President.  In January 2022, she was selected to serve as Vice President.  In January of 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, Emily was selected to serve as President.  Emily currently serves on the Board of Education Finance and Facilities Core Team committees.  Contact Emily at [email protected]
