My name is Laura Bova and I joined Grandview Heights School's teaching staff in 2013.  I teach drawing at GHHS each morning and spend the remainder of my day teaching K-3 Art at Stevenson Elementary.

I graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design and spent eight years as a commercial interior designer.  I returned to Ohio Dominican University to earn my teaching licensure and have been teaching since 2002.   I earned my masters degree in education from Ashland University.  I teach art with a philosophy of student choice.   I encourage student's creative ideation and support them to engage and persist through challenging art making.  We follow the Studio Habits of Mind which apply not just to art making but all learning.   Please contact me to visit the art room to see your child hard at work or to volunteer in the art room. I lead our Stevenson "All Arts Day" each spring when students interact with artists, designers and performers all day.
I have lived in Columbus most of my life and currently reside in Clintonville with my husband John, also an educator, our daughter Maria and our kitten, Ollie.

I love Grandview Heights!
