on behalf of our faculty and staff I would like to welcome you to the 2016 Honor Society induction ceremony for Grandview Heights High School today is a special day for students and their families what reflection for all else I would like to give a special welcome to members of the Grandview Heights Board of Education or join us onstage today they are 11 Grant Douglas and board members  the 40 students we will recognize this morning in vegetables next clue to 3.5 GPA 50 hours of all answer service in our community and have demonstrated qualities that align with the four pillars of the national those four pillars are character scholarship leadership and service  whether you're here today as a a faculty member parent grandparent or someone's little brother or sister I hope you will reflect on those four pillars and how important they are to your life end up  because we dream question now introduce our guest speaker for ceremony academic officer in Grandview Heights schools hurt leadership has strengthened our district immediately in commissary is beyond the scope of regular to be more specific very few things in this District that she doesn't touch on top of it best leaders I have ever met in my life and her steel said is truly remarkable  most important dr. of the national Arts conscientious is defined as careful and doing what you are supposed to do and doing it correctly I've devoted wholeheartedly to anything in turn I do I'm not happy unless I know I learn as much information as possible I work at study hard to get and maintain academics are important to me therefore they tend to be my top priority Interstate up late to finish over to get live my life whether I am mowing lawns study for test or on the field I've been taught that work always comes before play do the summer I work hard during the week in football practice while most done and once I'm finished I have a sense of accomplishment this mindset. We do the school year I'm always said that and studying done before I watch the game or go skiing on Thursdays and if I don't I stay up late to finish being disciplined of something that is necessary for all areas of life it is something total benefit me in the future this plan is nothing but an actual according to rules that you set for yourself the roles that I feel some stuff myself give me something to strive for as long as I remain discipline these wheels will continue tell me where would be the best that I can be Gemma calling as I attempted over and over to read this paragraph I saw single definition names are used to differentiate other people without a man who wouldn't have something to identify the actual name special there are thousands of people who share the same name makes the name special is that it is part of our identity we take the names that we are given to us Farmington MO  my name is compass is all the traits and characteristics that make me the person I am I am my name I am diligent and passionate turn I'm accepting I'm detail-oriented I am strong I'm a thousand different things in my name is the only word that can really capture all of them thank you the definition of resolute is admirably purposeful determined and unwavering this word is fundamental to how I try to live my life find purposeful and I am determined to do my best and everything I do I've chosen a rigorous high school schedule for myself and striving to do my best with the purpose of ensuring mine entrance Ascot to succeed and Not only would not only just like that but in everything I do outside of school as well I'm determined to do my best I can School in sports or any other activity involved in unwavering A-Reliable in my personal relationships friends can rely on me to help them I will always be there for support teachers can rely on me to come to class ready to learn and push myself to work for my Highest Potential I am always not only for myself but for what's right which is being shipped by my family in my face I don't depending on which group of people I'm with whether it's my close friends my soccer team my church youth group I try to be someone to what people do for others I take it upon myself to be a role model to your kids of my church by helping out and participating in service work our mission trips I've had to step out of my comfort zone to help people that I have met one example of this was when I dropped greet people who enter the soup kitchen I did my best to speak to each one of us kindness respect I try to make decisions that reflect integrity and those who I am and what I do the characteristic that best describes my phone is low how to send this now only in the classroom but during my everyday life job and towards test myself and my limits I face these challenges in my voice efforts that will reflect the kind of person I am and the kind of person I start I want to eventually carry this persistency outside of high school and into the future the future contains dreams which I want to eventually achieve the future holds even bigger obstacles which I I needed FaceTime schools because I know that even in the hardest times I will find my way to push through there in the queue the characteristic with the best describes the real me is my desire to I believe this I refused my hard work and ambition and is also promised me to strive to understand myself and make my own decisions for high school years understand what I care about and what I hope to achieve in my life when I was younger I lived in the present tense I pursued fun times and strive to get decent grades because my parents expected it and high school however I discovered that some of my subjects were truly and deeply interesting to me and my future started to take some shame I want to engage with the world around me and to find my I want to do things that I care about and have an academic future that really Taps into what I find intellectually fascinating and your future went to study and pursue my I'm traveling adventure and enjoy life as a as fully as I possibly can out of celery Intrepid I'm not threatened by new and
