it is 7 on the we are going to get starter Titan I'm off  whoever sister thank you so much I did not want to do and some thank you welcome back to school my name is Slim Shady and it is my privilege to serve as principal your Gregory Heights High School now and I fourth-year in fun place for kids I'm so excited being here I kind of challenged or are teachers this week how to see the courage to talk about her walk and so I would be remiss and probably have a better not to talk about my woman why not as a lot particular message and I will tell you that I am here as principal to any action  the Anderson my life will truly public and I believe it matters so much the people that we put in front of kids every single day in particular are teachers in my role means a lot of different things maybe than what what it means is a teacher sometimes it's advocating for students going through a really hard time with sometimes it's 40 degrees for sometimes it's just sitting down with a kid knocking out of behavior plan if sometimes it's working correctly with parents as a partner behind the scenes to support their kids in the way that they need some for you but my wife is and I'm very fortunate dear I'm so privileged to serve your principal and I think I'm going to have a great school year before we get in the nuts and bolts of the presentation and then didn't do the I would like to start off by calling up a few people are going to talk about some volunteer opportunities that education to come and talk and first one is Debbie turn the association here at the high school and we have our meetings on Thursday nights and third Thursday of the month which is so if you guys would like to come out of the instruments in the marching band that's what I'm eating is we also this year this past is there a war working on uniform drive from uniforms are you from sore 32 years old are traditional uniform that is where and we thought it was going to take us three years to raise coupons for our goals are about $75,000 we were able to raise that in 6 months so we are very happy right now we are in the end stages of the design and it seems we have the design finalized and they will be ordered and home to Dave United uniform next season in 2017 so you'll get to see if that I want to tonight recognize one person that is held out in our Organization for the last over the last six years one of the things that happens if most of you don't even waiting someone has to go and rent a truck for the equipment for all of our band equipment they have to pick it up they have to bring it to the school all the instruments on the trial sometimes an hour to an hour and a half to where away they are staying watch the game and then drive back here unload the truck back here at a school athletic and they still have to return that car this person is Josh Smith he has done this for 6 years his kids this is his last time so that's why I wanted all of you he is gone over this family has a business and he took all of those 1:50 in the morning and dry cleaning those at his cost he didn't charge the band One Day to talk to you so I just want to tell you that and that's how generous this family has been over the last 6 years Trick Daddy the movies right now I could call Susan K here she's going to come from the jail sing everybody  happy president of the PTO this year on the rest of the board is Vice President him  treasure Laura Carter secretary correction Jeffries Communications chairs Melanie lot of angel on Facebook and asked me for volunteer opportunity I'm if you haven't promised my Facebook yet please go to our page and like it you find a lot of information exchange on that site we will also be having fun dates in the weekly emails  soul opportunities to volunteer and find out what's going on a PTO in that email the total of notes about by the PTO. Especially for in the new we support the parents the staff and the students in lots of different ways I'm for the students we are sponsors of after prom Spring Fling dance or the other thing your parents and  how to do various things throughout the year for them last year we did what we call the stress break divided an opportunity for that stress free.
