sacraments everyone in Spanish when the weapons are voting rules Ohio because we see it if you have not done so already for extension and I'm honored to serve as principal of Grandview Heights High School Mobile Home on behalf of the Grandview Heights Board of Education Senator O'Reilly in The Faculty staff and students at Grandview Heights High School it is my honor and privilege to Welcome to the 99 commencement in the history of this High School since 1916 Grandview Heights High School's had a proud tradition of graduating well-prepared end of the world and I sure you that today today is a special day for so many reasons the first reason the 81 students were seeking High School diplomas today they are special the sun is due to Investments so many Saudis have made to help them get to where they are find today's special because of the communities of Grandview Heights in they're taking such deep private investment in graduates of Grandview Heights High School for almost a century my husband is dead today will be a special for you as it is for men I would like to recognize her outgoing superintendent go riding this eight years and leaving our history and help me provide educational opportunities that are second to none for our students please join me give me mister at O'Reilly I wore around there next I would like to talk about the family score and attendance today and those the cannot be here today but the families of our students have partner supported sacrificed and invested on incredibly high levels for our students to have the education and opportunities that they have happened you're not you need to go a long long way to find more best mechanics please join me give me the families of our students a nice warm Round of Applause also very deserving special mention is the entire Creed 12:20 instead of the Grandview Heights schools  it given so much on holistic level to develop Arch and to the young adults they are today and prepare them for the I've learned throughout my life some of these I share the other guy how many classes and other types yearbook staff the school district so today I want to share with you hating quotes that I've heard graduated from the Grandview Heights High School  the class Emporium has crabs on a rough road full of many obstacles  programs like a Rube Goldberg machine contest in marzville and it before we got a chance of heart attack the school's annual DC traffic was restructured the year we were scheduled again solemnly Megabus felt like cool things engine oil change right before we had a chance to participate in them  and instead of our class getting beaten down strawberry positive and more resilient and bracing me cheese idea that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger a strong pot ready to face the next round of the facility there will be another round will be harder the next military where the workforce one thing that is certain is that the new challenges these challenges are what we are are sore as it hard to deal with the setbacks and disappointments of the past  in approaching adversity many of us like the view ourselves as Rebels and Henry David Thoreau life is that if a man loses Pace with his companions Perhaps it is because he has a different drummer  batting stats the new however measured or far away I like to think of our class as a hypothetical Man Forever  hear different music and we march on adversity has taught us to look for a strike and listen for a few places we least expected but by searching your grown into looking for the past 12 years I believe many school once again we walk into the next challenges with a clean slate is so so much higher now for there are fewer opportunities for us to erase our slates as we grow older and although we can be forgiven or none Rebel thing we now turns back into a Santa Claus consist of marching to our own and listening to our own music  sure feeling candy from the teacher stash requirements the temperature in order to be around you must be willing to stay away from the doors in our class use this rebellious and intelligence Frozen the music off to maintain 4.0 GPA  Panda Transformer scribbles on a Seuss is full of opposites there near far fast and slow stop and go up and down big and small surfaces is also full of wisdom wisdom that he expresses in the most simplistic ways nevermind I said some of that juice wisdom that many of us first we're sitting on our mothers left begging for one more reading of green eggs and ham or either or even the Cat in the Hat  Batman he's worth catchy rhythms and strange words the wisdom may be in and went right over our heads but it was there whether we knew it or not  what is an that we heard this was them back when we were first entering kindergarten and still living in our imaginary world and now we can apply it as we enter our journey into the real world so now that you're ready to leave Grandview Heights High School after completing are 13 Years Journey let's take a moment to sit back and hear some of that suits with did more mature ears dr. Seuss tells us that sometimes questions are complicated and the answers are simple we are done it is easy to open things and worry about things that in the end arnevik  sometimes we become so intensely focused on the Minor Details we lose sight the bigger picture  my friends noticed that I'm not wearing the right logo the upperclassmen like me or will I pass all of my finals the truth is will it matter in 10 years no and that is the simple answer  dr. Seuss goes on to remind us that your brains in your head you have feet in your shoes you can steer yourself any direction you choose  here Grandview we are fortunate enough to follow her heart Johnny pack  we have the option to go in a different direction against the crowd Society tells I said successfully defined by the amount of we have and by which colleges we attend  but this is not the success that everyone strives for  we have the option here to get ahead Premier that we are passionate about  we have teachers that remind us that we don't have to go to college to succeed in  that our success can be measured in our accomplishment never has the wisdom of dr. Seuss that is most relevant to this present moment and his comment that everything stinks till it's finished sometimes we are about to give up whether it's on a project an object or following a path we struggled to stay motivated when we are in the midst of it all we fail to see the progress that we've made we can't see the purpose or beauty of the final problem but there are others on the outside you can see the potential and just when you're about to give up and what and wonder whether it's worth it  if we're lucky enough they will encourage us to keep go because they know that in the end it would be worthwhile  however it is not just his wisdom that applies to us and I just can't sit here at Grandview what is opposite to fly here to I mean sure he was small in size and we are stuff mostly with the same 80 people for 13 years sometimes one person's drama can affect half the class what other times we find ourselves a little stuff in our comfort zones  but at the same because of all the opportunities that has to offer and the strong connections that we have built with our teachers and mentors  it is Big with can you try things and discover things that we love it is Big the chance to be involved and academics sports music theatre and art and with the opportunity to challenge ourselves to lead to fail or succeed  magic Rock  it is babe with the out to go to college and be accepted by multiple universities around the country and with the opportunity to take a different path and follow wherever our passion it is Big the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with each other even if we are a little sick and tired of one another but at the end of the day when the tornadoes are gone Miss Princess Candy jars empty the drama subsides let's remember some of that soup was let's remember how we change from the group of kids playing on the cheese on the first day of kindergarten to the group of young and all sitting here in our caps and gowns we are more experienced in some way smarter but at heart we are the same kids  so I leave you with one last diffendoofer of wisdom from and will you succeed yes you will indeed 98th and three quarters percent guaranteed searching the class of 2014 I remind you Anna life of ups and downs here's and there's and pain and joy may you enjoy this opportunity to get a fresh start thank you Ben and Holly and Jasmine I know some of the most impactful memorable you certainly taught a lot of people today thanks  has there's a receipt on the stage move the floor seat I would like to give special mention to our seniors who develop the senior video we are about to watch they are Northside of with Mary Kay Dempsey and Luke please give them my stomach off French kissing French kissing French kissing French kissing a shot of in your senior year the song please  hey yo I once was a kid all I had was a dream of Money Mo Problems when I get it out shall we do everybody get the sound on Schism between the shows in the face.
