Linked is a video with additional modeling of how to think through the Vanquish the Vocabulary process during home learning. Remember, this study is about the process and the thinking. "Comparing-and-contrasting strategies have been shown to promote growth in student learning by comparing something we already know to something we are learning (Marzano, 2004). this week I am going to model Bang is the vocabulary for students at home and parents and Guardians that want a little glimpse into what we do here in class my three words this week I have that I'm going go to wistar identify Define and recognize the first thing I'm going to do is stop and think what do these three words have in common or how are they alike  well when I look at the three words I think turn these three words tell me what sayings mean  they also help me with where things are and finally I also think that they help me understand things the name I understand by sight like when I recognize I about seeing something when I identify something I think that things are left out a lot and I can pick the right one and then I have Define which tells me exactly meanings what I'm going to do identify means this to me I know these all mean all of this tell me what mean where things are help me understand but if I'm just talking about identify and what makes it unique I would say if I was can a choice I could pick the right one that's what identify means to me if I was given a choice I could pick the right one Define I mean something different when I Define it tells me the exact meaning and finally if I recognize something I think if I took a glimpse at it I really don't know no it I probably couldn't Define it but if I see it I might say that I set or I could pick it out of a crowd so I would say I'm not certain  but I sing is this what's it recognize means to me okay so finally I want to make a symbol up for all of these words well my first symbol is going to be a dictionary cuz that's what I think about when I think the fine I'm going to quickly just draw a little book  when I put a d on it for a dictionary tell me sink recognize I think of eyeballs or actually eyeglasses this is actually turning into a face I've seen it before I'm not exactly sure however identify I was given a choice  of a couple of items could identify the choice that is different I'm going to draw that little sequence that will help me member identify identify Define recognize I told what the words have in common all together and I said whom these words tell me what things mean where things are and they help me understand then I told him these boxes what what's the word unique  I said identify if I was given a choice I could pick the right one I drew some choices and picked the one that was different for Define I said it tells me the exact meaning and I used a dictionary for that cuz I know dictionary is there where I get exact meetings and recognize I'm not certain but I think it's this and I drew little eyeglasses to show that I look at something and I think I recognize it but I'm not sure so I put a? And that is how you can think through Vanquish the vocabulary
