In Grandview Heights Schools, we believe that the wellness of our students is a community effort! Our district Wellness Committee strives to partner with our community to provide opportunities and resources to our students, staff, and community members. We are continually developing collaborative opportunities to support wellness within our schools and community. From community fun runs to important topics such as substance avoidance, mental health, and diversity, our community partnerships provide rich and authentic experiences for our students.
Our committee includes school administrators, counselors, student and food services staff, wellness teachers, parents, the athletic director and district nurse, and wellness advocates. The committee also includes representatives from Syntero Counseling, Start Talking Grandview, ONE Grandview, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and the City of Grandview Heights Parks & Recreation and Fire Departments.
The committee meets quarterly to communicate, plan, and actualize Wellness for Life learning opportunities for our students, families, and community.
