Let's Get the Enrollment Process Started:

Pre-Registration Forms
It is important to ensure the person filling out this registration form is the residential parent or guardian, for school purposes, and understands that Grandview Heights Schools does not have an open enrollment policy. Complete the correct pre-registration form for each student you are registering. This will provide some basic information necessary for our staff to begin the registration process.

Registration & Enrollment Information

Residence Requirement

Grandview Heights Schools verifies residency for all students to ensure they live within district boundaries, as residency determines eligibility for enrollment. During registration, families must provide documentation based on their current living situation.

 Required Documents

  • Parent photo identification (driver’s license or state or federal ID)
  • Proof of student identity (such as a birth certificate)
  • Proof of residency
  • Proof of custody or guardianship, if applicable
  • Immunization record
  • Most recent special education documentation, if applicable (ETR, IEP, 504 Plan, WEP/WAP, or gifted identification)

Residency Requirements

Families must submit documentation that matches one of the four residency options below:

  1. Homeownership
Families who own their home must provide proof of ownership, such as a deed, mortgage statement, or Franklin County Auditor summary page, along with a current utility bill or similar document showing the family’s name and address.
  2. Current Lease
Families renting with an active lease must submit a copy of the current lease and a recent document showing their name and address, such as a utility bill, pay stub, or government mailing.
  3. Month-to-Month Lease
Families renting month to month must provide their most recent lease, even if the dates are not current, along with a recent document showing their name and address. A notarized Residency Affidavit (Part 1) is also required.
  4. Shared Residency
Families living with friends or relatives must submit recent documents showing their name and address, along with a notarized Residency Affidavit. This includes Part 1 completed by the parent or guardian and Part 2 completed by the homeowner or primary leaseholder.

Residency Affidavit

The Residency Affadavit is required for month-to-month and shared residency situations. It confirms that the student and parent or guardian legally reside at the address used for registration and are not maintaining a separate residence elsewhere. All affidavits must be notarized and are valid for the current school year. The district may request additional documentation if needed to verify residency.

If you have questions about which documents apply to your situation, please contact the school office or the district registration team for assistance.
